Day 1 & 2

Arrive la Paz

Take the morning sightseeing tour of the town and beaches. After lunch we head for Isla Espiritu Santo. Rumored to be one of the most beautiful islands in the Sea of Cortéz, you will be truly amazed by the environment surrounding you. The far side of the island boasts Bonanza Beach, two solid miles of white sandy beaches-it is a lovely site for a beach picnic and a perfect place for relaxation. Spend a leisurely afternoon here, perfect for snorkeling, kayaking or relaxing on deck. When the evening falls head ashore for a beach barbecue under the desert sky.

Day 3

Santa Rosalia- cruising north along the Baja coast we may kayak in the morning, then stop in historic Santa Rosalia to explore the town. We will tour this historic copper mining town before re-boarding the yacht to cruise north anchoring at Bahía San Francisco for the night.

Day 4

EXPLORING THE SEA OF CORTEZ. Nature will be our guide during trip across the Sea of Cortez. It is a rich area for whales and dolphins. We may spend part of the morning searching for marine life, and then anchor of an island such as Isla Tortuga, where there is a mountainous shoreline and bays of turquoise waters. Below the surface, swim king angelfish, butterfly fish, damselfish and the colorful parrotfish. You may find whale sharks in their natural habitat and enjoy seeing this gentle endangered creature among other playful sea life.

At night the constellations in the clear sky sparkle and amaze.

Day 5 & 6

Topolobampo’s beauty has been compared with the Greek Islands because the pleasant little town climbs steep hillsides and is surrounded by islands. Here you can take a train through Copper Canyon one of Mexico’s most awe-inspiring regions. The Copper Canyon is one of the deepest and largest canyon systems in North America. This natural wonder, which is believed to be 20 million years-old boasts cliffs that are 5000 feet tall. Visit this area of Raramuri and Tarahumaran Indian cultures. Board el Chepe which crosses 37 bridges and goes through 86 tunnels, descends through canyons, tunnels and ravines that border the edges of the majestic Copper Canyon. The incredible landscapes full of pine trees, oaks and waterfalls will capture the visitor’s eyes.

Day 7

San Carlos has a group of beaches with fine sand and pleasant waters. The white sand beautiful beaches are surrounded by desert landscapes where you will experience some of the more beautiful sunsets in the world. San Carlos is a small, relatively new resort, still one of the best kept secrets in Mexico. For hikers, there is Cerro Tetakawi-a hill 660 feet above sea level. Climbers will find the climb very challenging and rewarding and at the top as the views are breathtaking.



Day 8

Mazatlan lies at almost the same latitude as Cabo San Lucas but much more tropical; swaying coconut palms, mangoes, papayas, and bananas growing along side the roads. It has 12 miles of beaches and Waterfront Boulevard that displays narrow streets and 19th century architecture. Historic Mazatlan is worth visiting for its beautifully restored Italianate Teatro Angela Peralta, named after a famous Mazatlan-born opera singer as well as its intriguing cathedral. Here, the country’s biggest aquarium has more than 250 species of fish and other marine creatures.

Day 9 & 10

Drop off Puerto Vallarta

Visit the old town, Viejo Vallarta has managed to conserve some of the quaintness of a Mexican village. Red tile roofs, white washed, sun-splashed walls & stone paved streets stretch toward the jungle-clad foothills of the Sierra Madres. Isla Rio Cuale, a 5-block island in the river dividing the town, is a shady pedestrian park of galleries, boutiques, cafes and a botanical garden. Stone paved streets wind past villa-dotted cliffs & sparkling blue coves. Beyond this point, the superb swimming and snorkeling beaches are accessible only by boat. To the north are some of the area’s most famous diving sites.
